I am a sociologist and death penalty scholar at the State University of New York at Geneseo. I am also a Pittsburgh native. Over the past several decades, my research has focused on the regional and racial patterns of death penalty use.
My present research, which is the focus of this website, centers on the history of the death penalty in Allegheny County (Pittsburgh), Pennsylvania.
