John E. Clifford

John E. Clifford, an officer with the McKeesport Police Department, was struck by a passing vehicle as he crossed Atlantic Avenue on November 29, 1915. He died of his injuries on December 15.

The driver of the speeding vehicle, Ray E. Dell, of the North Side, was charged with manslaughter on January 12, 1916. He pleaded guilty to aggravated assault and battery.
